Nik Dark

Nik has worked as a Sports Therapist at Teesside Sports Injury Centre since graduating from Teesside University in 2010. Nik works from our Victoria Road clinic and has been involved with Billingham Forum since its re-opening following refurbishment. This was especially memorable as Nik had the pleasure of meeting Sophie the Countess of Wessex, who was given a tour of the clinic on the re- opening.

During his time working at Teesside Sports Injury Centre, he has shared his work in the clinic alongside various other endeavours within Sports as a Sports Therapist, which include; The Northern Ballet, KTM International quad bike team, Yarm Rugby Club and teaching at Middlesbrough College. Through Nik’s experience working in many different sporting disciplines, he has worked alongside athletes and professionals of varying abilities, of which have also brought an insight into injuries ranging from the relatively simple to highly complex.

Most recently Nik has progressed his basic first aid skills up to that of an Emergency Medical Technician, in which he now specialises in as his full time work commitments. Research is focused on recovery and rehabilitation from injury, as well as the immediate care following injury.
