Reece Mackey

Reece graduated with a Bsc (Hons) degree in Sports Therapy from Teesside University. Since graduating he gained his first work placement as Head Therapist of Billingham Synthonia Football Club. In this, his main tasks were to treat and rehabilitate injured players to full health, provide pre-match deep tissue massages, strapping, and post-match treatments. Throughout his two years at the club Reece worked heavily on preventative measures to reduce the chance of injury and aches, with a variety of techniques.

Reece then went on to open his own private clinic, based in Billingham, to be able to help a wider variety of patients. Through this, he has seen great results, helping a range of musculoskeletal injuries and aches sustained, not only in sport but the work place as well.

He attends places of work and treats office related injuries and aches which has helped his understanding of the demands different jobs have on different professions.

As well as this, Reece works alongside the Great Britain Dragon Boating Senior Team, which has given him an excellent knowledge of different sports with unusual biomechanical injuries. Coupling this with his experience of being linked with Running Clubs, Football clubs, Cricket clubs and Bodybuilders he ensures every patient understands their injury and the treatment they are receiving.

From the above, Reece has gained exceptional skills of rehabilitation, deep tissue massage and Injury prevention. He aims not only to get his patients fully fit in a safe and quick fashion, but also works on trying to prevent the patient becoming injured again, through impeccable advice and aftercare.
